Given that last time I checked he made two of his fiances pregnant before he marring, I doubt its really an issue. Further, there is no law that says you cant have children outside of marriage. The issue of him having an affair is also between him and his wives. However given that he has quite a few of them, and is also know for being unfaitful (remember the rape scandal, that wasnt his wife either) I doubt it is an issue for them. Having a child out of wedlock and having an affair are not illegal (grounds for divorce mabye but not illegal) as such we have no right to have any kind of say in the matter. its his private life, leave it alone.

As for Zulu culture, to my understanding it is ok too. I am probably far off, but given the tribal nature of zulu culture and that Zuma is officially the chief of said tribe, and effectively the chief can do whatever he wants, from a tribal perspective.

Lastly, his position as president not practicing safe sex. This is a much more troublesome aspect. As the president he is a rolemodel for the people of this country. Thus his sexual actions could be interpreted as acceptable. Now him having sex outside of wedlock wouldnt be such an issue, however given the problem with AIDS in Africa, this is not something he should be doing given his office should be trying everything in thier power to stop the AIDS problem.

Although, a thought just occured to me. Given that a large number of infections are because african men believe that having multiple girlfriends is acceptable, perhaps Zuma should have an affair, but emphasize that he not only used a combom but it was better because he did. They are going to have multiple partners regardless, but being the rolemodle he is, he might encourage them to at least practice safe sex.

I think he can have a private life up to a point, what he has done is make a lot of mistakes that have found their way in to the public domain.

So the fact that he has a very public private life is his own fault
