I got home from work yesterday and noticed Obi hadn't eaten anything, and was very shaky on his feet.

Took him to the vet - and he was seriously dehydrated, and one of his kidneys is swollen.
He's been on a drip since last night, and as soon as he's rehydrated, they;ll do some tests.

The vet told me it could be anything from a cyst on his kidney to feline AIDS.


Been very stressed, and I'm supposed to go away this weekend - but can't do a thing till I know more.

Having had a cat that had feline AIDS, he gained weight very fast, then went very thin and helpless. Wasn't good to see. But he got it because he was always out and about fighting and flirting with the ladies. I am thinking mostly the fighting ...

Maybe it is just something simple - we all hope it is!

I lost one of my cats two weeks ago. I truly hope it isn't serious. I feel like Obi's been part of my life all the time I've been on these blogs.

I only have 4 babies now. They miss the 'retard' so much, yowling and calling day and night...

Obi is still sick.

We though he might have had renal failure, but he kidneys have been functioning (which is great news).
However he is still not eating, and his one kidney remains very very swollen.

I'm taking him to the animal hospital this morning for some scans.

Will report back later with more news.
