For those that like arachnids:
The following two images show the hairs on the upper (by 'knee') and mid-sections of a tarantula's leg.

Imaged via the reverse stacked lens technique (300mm @ F8 + 50mm F1.2 prime).


Thanks to Jayne Le Roux for the exoskeletons used for imaging.

I can only imagine those took some serious time to set up :)

Set-up time was not so long, but still took 58 images at various angles and settings.

Decided on those two as being the best of the batch.

 

Still want to see what other interesting views I can garner from the subjects.
